The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
