19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial title for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a former number one, has had a torrid season, managing just one match at the big events and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with former mentor his previous coach.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden title following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since that period of that year.
Success also means Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at 21 different tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my children at once, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
His defensive play style and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted some to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
However the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform positively, supported by an enhanced service.
He came back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
The opponent rescued four early-game opportunities in a competitive third set before the Russian won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he clinched the title with a rally at the net area, with his opponent unable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
